Architectural Digest Home Show 2011 - #1

I have finally compiled all of my images and sources that I collected from the AD Home Show, and am ready to share my findings with all of you! I attended the show with my college friend and fellow designer, Caitlin Ryan, who had already done a run through earlier in the week but was happy to do another with me. The trip itself to NYC was so enjoyable, I've decided to make it a point to go more regularly.

We started the day off with a "Color in Design" seminar featuring three super talented designers, one of whom I blogged about a few weeks ago, Amy Lau. Then, after a light lunch (and yummy dessert), came the oodles of vendors & product to comb through! As if that alone wasn't enough to fill our day, DIFFA's Dining by Design event AND The Artist Project were right next door. Needless to say we were utterly exhausted by the end, and I will likely need multiple posts in order to recap properly. Today I am going to start with the "Color in Design" seminar. The work by these 3 designers never fails to impress... You will definitely be seeing more from them in upcoming posts.

Counting down...

I'm so psyched for the Architectural Digest (AD) Home Design Show in New York this weekend!!! I will be attending with my good friend from design school, Caitlin Ryan, who is now living and designing in NYC. Everything from furniture and lighting, to products for baths and kitchens, will be featured at the show. Also, the Dining By Design showcase, the major fundraising event for DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation for Fighting AIDS, will be right next door!

One of the things I am looking forward to the most, other than all of the brand new and innovative products out there, is the Color in Design seminar featuring Amy Lau, who I just blogged about a couple weeks ago :)

Considering next week's post will be chuck FULL of goodies to recap the AD Show and DIFFA event, I'll keep this one pretty short.... Here are some images from last years show.

Natalie Makes Art

Belle Designs now has its first official sponsor! My lovely friend and incredible artist, Natalie Fifer, of Natalie Makes Art. Her thoughtful illustrations are bursting with life, and seem to suck you right into their whimsical worlds. I'm so excited to have Natalie here, and am eagerly awaiting some new work from her! Please make sure to check out her website for more illustrations, along with images from her sketchbook and some cool animation projects.
